SEVEN SOUNDS OF AZERBAIJAN

🎬 Film Screening & Meet the Director Thomas Melzer

“Seven Sounds of Azerbaijan — Inspired by Nature” will be screened, followed by a meeting and discussion with the film’s director and journalist, Thomas Melzer.

This documentary brings together the nature, sounds, and musical heritage of Azerbaijan, taking the audience on a journey through seven different natural locations across the country.

Based on an idea by Azerbaijani jazz musician and composer Rain Sultanov, and featuring his original music, the film combines the sounds of nature with jazz, creating a distinctive and poetic portrait of Azerbaijan.

The film is directed by Anje Dombrowski and Thomas Melzer.

The documentary has been screened at various film festivals in Germany, including the Berlin Film Festival.

After the Screening — A Special Meeting

Following the film screening, there will be an open discussion with Thomas Melzer. The audience will have the opportunity to hear directly from the director about the film’s concept, the filming process, the locations across Azerbaijan, and the journey behind the creation of this unique project.

The project has also been included in a special travel guide about Azerbaijan published in Germany. Thomas Melzer has additionally published a book dedicated to the project, documenting its journey from the initial idea through the filming process and the creation of the final work.
